Apple is releasing the new iPods today, along with the iTunes Music store in other European countries such as Holland and Austria.

The U2 model is 20GB (starts at $349) and 12 hour battery life, while the Photo iPod has 40 and 60GB models (starts at $499) and has 15hr battery life... as well it syncs iPod-viewable photos in JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF and PNG formats.

I agree, I was wondering why there isn't a 40GB option since in one years time not even the 20GB iPod would be able to contain my whole music collection, but its nice to see a 60GB Photo iPod

heh last nite I had a weird dream that apple released a PDA that just happened to not be theirs and had Palm OS on it and at the top it said longhorn... as well as an aluminum slim digital camera and a few other goodies
