Mistake on Apple Website?

Hi All,
I was interested in the Apple Thunderbolt display, for connecting to my new MacBook Air (w/ Mac Lion). After using Lion for several days, I realized that full-screen apps on dual monitors isn't possible.

However, on the Thunderbolt display's webpage, it clearly shows the MBA connected to it while displaying a full-screen photo (possibly using iPhoto). Is this actually possible? When I open a full-screen photo on an external display, the MBA displays nothing.

The first and last images feature Aperture 3, and one of its modes is to have both screens fully occupied. It's not full screen in the same sense as some other programs. This particular rendition is built into the application.
 
Lightroom3 does something similar as well. It's application specific.

Oh, and it's with seemingly any 2nd monitor -- works like this on my Macbook Air connected to a 24" 1080p monitor via HDMI.
