6.0 surround sound using compressor

Hi everyone
I am trying to create 6.0 surround sound files merged with video using compressor. My physical speaker set up is as follows:
front L and R = 1 and 2
Mid L and R = 5 and 6
Rear L and R = 3 and 4

(There is no bass or LFE)

I have got as far as manually inputing my 6 mono aif's in compressor by clicking the surround sound icon then setting my audio to each speaker e.g.
L = 1 R = 2 Ls = 3 Rs = 4 C = 5 and LFE = 6
The problem is my sound that I am sending to LFE is not LFE I want to keep it as a regular audio file. Can this be done?

Also when I add the video file it says it wants the video to have audio ... but I am manually assigning a surround sound file, so I don't see why the video should have audio to start with.
So i have been exporting my uncompressed video with a mute/blank audio and then adding it to the surround sound I have manually set up.

Please find the attached zip file outlining my method.

Can anyone offer any advice on this? I have been doing test after test.

I have been able to create my video files and audio surround sound files seperatly but now I need to merge them together.
I don't want to have to re-render everything.

Is there anyway to simply merge audio and video? Is this called mux or muxing?

My video files are .mov and audio .aiff or .ac3
The finished product needs to be able to play in QuickTime, it has to be a .mov

I could really do with some help.
