This is kind of strange, I think but: I was putting the iPad 2 away in it's bag, which also stores the wireless keyboard. The smart cover was down, so the iPad was locked. The wireless keyboard was still connected to the iPad via bluetooth.

So, when I was putting the keyboard away, I pressed the "play" key (F8) and whatever was queued up in Music started playing.

Is there any way to stop music from playing while the iPad is locked?

Thanks.

By locked, I'm thinking you mean 'sleep'. So, if you want to prevent that from happening, next time just shut it off.

thank you!

Thanks for posting this! My iPad music started up today and I could not figure out what triggered it, since they were both stored in a bag. I am almost positive that F8 got pressed and the music started. I had no idea why.

turn the keyboard off. :p saves battery on both the keyboard and iPad. You don't HAVE to turn the iPad off.
