Safari: History for Tabs Lost After Upgrade

Just a heads up: if you're upgrading to iOS 8 on an iPad, all of your Safari tabs will be preserved, but the back and forward history for those individual tabs will be completely lost. If you're more than a little OCD like myself, you may find this an unpleasant surprise. So if you don't want to lose this history, you need to manually prepare for it before upgrading.
