I don't think I've seen an update since Friday. And there's probably never been a time they were needed more. My 6+ is a buggy mess. I still love it though.

Apple should generate 3rd-party application updates?

I can see your signature isn't lying about not being an apple developer :p

But yeah, the updates aren't as frequent as they've been in years past.

What exactly does that mean? I guarantee you they have a crap load of apps that are waiting to be approved.

Yea smart guy you understand the process and I don't. You got it right.

This is the first time major apps like Facebook and Twitter haven't updated to use new features they could clearly benefit from, ie interactive notifications and nc widgets.

It's a shame as not much is actually taking advantage of these new features.

Nearly all my apps updated on the 17-19th. So it's unlikely to get another update for at least a week or so. Very few devs drop updates the day after their previous update.

Just joking around. I'm sure they're working as hard as they could.

have you gone into check, since I updated to 8, I don't get any notifications or badge number icons. Only when I physically go in do I see the updates, emails, messages... etc. etc.

Indeed, there have been very few 3rd party App updates....not nearly the level I expected during a launch.

And almost NO updates to support the displays on 6/6+, although thats not totally unexpected given the short time frame.

Didnt Twitter update with at least some of that? Facebook also has plans for it thst they blogged about just not something they had ready to go the moment iOS 8 was launched maybe because they want to test more perhaps on newer phones or something like that.

Yeah a lot of mine did as well in those first few days

Did Apple go on vacation? Why no app updates for past few days?

What exactly does that mean? I guarantee you they have a crap load of apps that are waiting to be approved.

I have had a ton of updates. Pretty much every app I have has been updated a few times now. Maybe there wasn't much reason to update any further? I for one am glad for a break from the updating. Oh, dang I got a few more just now... Just checked.

I've received updates both yesterday and today. I don't understand your concern.

You're right they did but they pretty much stopped on Thursday or Friday. I'm guessing Apple shifted these employees to more pressing issues or just gave them some time off. But usually updates continue to flood in for weeks after a big update (with no 2-3 days breaks like this weekend). It's just compounded by the compatibility issues caused by the new phones.

They'll start coming in tomorrow I'm sure.

Well if you don't understand my "concern" then there isn't any reason trying to explain. Read above - I'm not the only one that has seen a huge slow down in app updates.

Well I got a lot in the first few days but I'm still getting more too just not as much as in those days. Weekends are always slower no matter what. But I had 4 updates yesterday and even 1 today.
