Unable to update to iOS 8 using iTunes on the net, otherwise net is working normal!

Dear All

I have an iPhone 5 running on iOS 7.1.x and I wish to update to iOS8

when I connect the phone to my Win laptop pc and start the iTunes on my laptop I see an update (to iOS 8) pop up

I've tried to update at various times of the day / night , at least 3 ,...4 times so far, but the download goes on for approx 5 minutes and then times out

Is it just the rush at the gate (the apple server) ? or ?

Is there a work around ?

I have approx 2.96 gb free on my iPhone 5, 16 GB

yes I was using the latest

After two days of trying i got thru yesterday !!

Now I can start worrying about all the bugs !!
