i was having trouble with instant-hotspot and hand-off not working with my ipad and iphone6+ on ios8.
i've managed to figure it out via restore and setting resets multiple times. no idea what combination i did to fix it
FYI: for anyone trying to fix it. check if your device is registered in your "Support Profile" page with apple. some how my iPad wasn't showing up at all, while every device i've own shows up.
everything is good now. but i end up having duplicate device name in bluetooth setting; iPad and iphone. one instance of the device i can remove, while the other i can't, it's greyed out. I'm fearful to remove one of the device, at the risk of losing the features i got working.
i found out that you can remove the duplicate, but you have to reset network setting, then reset all setting. which might cause me to lose the features. and it also reset the device name to default; "iPhone" "iPad". then when i rename each device, it shows up as the new name and the old
man ios8 is so buggy.
