I was wanting to replace my old 9.7 iPad for a mini. I was expecting that' they'd add a better color accurate display, A8/M8, more ram, better camera, curved cover glass like the 6/6+, thinner and lighter, bump to 32GB standard, and Touch ID. We only got the last of those today and I have a feeling next year we won't get much neither. Thanks Apple, you just saved me so much money!

I'll agree that the Mini 3s are not too impressive. But maybe that means you need to jump to the Air 2.

(I'll agree it is strange. Last year the two iPads were the same internals. This year, only the Air gets the new stuff.)

For me, the weight is also important. Hopefully the case isn't adding too much weight to the otherwise super-light iPad air 2

I wish they made the smart cover in leather too like they did with pre-iPad air models. I hate the cheap poly material and I don't want a full case that covers the back too with the leather. =/

Anyone know of a 3rd party magnetic smart cover that's leather?
