Here's one of the first photos I ever took with my D50. No editing. I just got this lifeless background and life coming from the middle. That was the intent, and luckily enough, that's what my noobie ass got, which was lucky considering how I had never used my D50 or knew how to operate it.

Oh, and anyone who tells me that a tighter crop is a good idea is probably right (my stupid Dell at uni can't even crop a fracking photo.......gotta install other programs, but I don't have admin privileges on this machine and don't have my own computer right now.....D'OH!).

I like it, totally didn't expect a football and sneakers as i was scrolling down. :)
 
Tibetan contrasts

Took this picture in Lhasa, Tibet last year. Shame about the bleached background (the sun is like a dose of Xrays in the day there!) but I love the pic of a traditional monk texting the monastery on his mobile and carrying home a plastic carrier bag of toilet rolls!
