MS has made a beta version of Vista available.

Download can be done -- if you've got somewhere between 3.5 and 64 hours. :p

The news feed: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/5059110.stm

I guess they don't guarantee compatibility with platforms that they consider "supported," so we can't necessarily judge useability on Intel Macs, but it would be interesting to hear just how well any venturesome Bootcamp users fare....

has anyone gotten the download to work yet? every browser I've used hangs after the passport sign in page

I wouldn't be shocked to find that even a MS-sized server is overloaded. After all, with a 3.5-hour minimum download time, those poor folks are going to suckling at that icy teet for a long, long time.

I used a download manager that was able to open 8 connections and get about 400-500 Kbps. It stalled twice, but finished pretty quickly overall.

I ran the upgrade advisor in Parallels to see if it would run Vista. This is what it returned - I have a 0.00 Hz CPU ... apparently.
