If you've got a 'Transformation' or a 'Motion' or 'both shot that was taken outside the October 2006 Assignment thread period (7-31 October 06), post it in this thread.

If it was posted, in that time period, post it in the Assignment thread.

Given 'Motion' can be tricky with a P&S, here's one of the few where I really got a sense of it while keeping the rest of the image clear too.

A shot taken with 35mm Fuji SuperG 400 color film, Canon EOS A2 and 100-300f/4.5-5.6 lens. Scanned w/ a Nikon Coolscan LS-30. Sorry, no exposure information recorded, but most likely shot Aperature-preferred and wide open (well, as wide open as a 4.5-5.6 lens will allow... ;) )

A shot which uses motion to tell a story about folks speeding through a neighborhood. Fuji SuperG 400 color film, Canon A2 EOS, 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 lens. Exposure not recorded, but probably shot at 1/60 sec.

It didn't come out the way I wanted it to, but it's still kinda cool. It would be great as like a alternitave/indie album cover.

ISO - 800
Aperture - F6.3
Shutter Speed - 1/1

Very nice! Brilliant effect from an event I've never witnessed - makes a cracking picture!

Train(?) Pic

OK... How did you get this shot? It's brilliant, but I can't quite get to grasps with it!
You have a clear background on the left, yet have the light streaks there too, moving to the right and the train, where there is motion blur from the train... but it seems to be moving away. Which is fine, but as I first mentioned, the background is crystal clear on the left, not motion blur overlay?
I'd be very grateful if you could clarify for me! :)

tripod, long exposure with flash. was shot with my 20D. only photoshop work was BW and setting levels. no other modification. Train was actually coming towards me.
