How do I turn my iSight's green light off?

How do I use my iSight without the green light being turned on? I just wanna use it but not have the active green light on.
 
Take the bezel off the display and cut the wire going to the light.

The green light is an activity light for the camera. It comes on when the camera is on - that's how it works. If you don't want the light on then turn off the camera.
 
yeah, so i wanna tape some things going on in my bedroom without it being obvious. Is that a sin?
