Apple Store is down for "updates"

As I understand it, this usually means product updates.

I ordered a Mac Pro two days ago. It has not shipped. If Mac Pros are updated this evening, will the option to edit my order before it ships still be available? Yesterday I saw that I could actually cancel my Mac Pro order before it shipped...

Will that hold true if they update the Pros tonight?

I doubt they will, but when I saw the site down, I got a huge lump in my throat.
 
The UK and USA stores are down. Weird, as a Sunday morning is a very unusual time for an update but then both stores being down does make it look like something is coming...
 
On Saturday nights/Sunday mornings they run maintenance on the site. It doesn't really mean there's updates coming.
 
Probably nothing significant today. This has been happening on Sundays a couple of times in the past months. Either there is a special offer ending which is being removed or they are preparing for a launch in the coming week.

but really.. you would of thought they could customise the message that's displayed onscreen specifically for "maintenence" and a different one for "updates" :D

You know by now they're not going to do that over the weekend unless it's Sunday evening right before an exposition where they're presenting something.

Weekly maintenance does not cover that.
 
Heh, it's strange that web editors did not updated the top navigation properly. The iPhone tab is missing when you go to the store. Only there.

Probably located on a different set of servers, but it's a strange omission after almost two months.
 
I would love for some updated but I have seen the store go down this exact time many times before and it has come back up exactly the same...

Scheduled update times Sunday??

No iTunes Store access here either.

We just ordered a refurb Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro last night too! Please don't be a MBP update! :D There's always the return period...

I think they haven't added the tab on the "updating" page.
 
seems odd but maybe its to add something about the apple tv? Its all very hazy at the moment!
 
Went to check my order status on the aussie store and this message appears
