Nice one, but I doubt they'd make such a big deal about a European store on the same page as they advertise the US iPhone price...and no one would buy an iPod in the 17 days remaining before that special event with such an obvious ad...

It's WWDC! An event that hasn't seen a whole lot of hardware related announcements since its inception.
That was sort of a joke. I don't know if you saw GodBless's old post about his idea of a new iMac. Nobody liked it and GodBless never gave up.
