How come the imacs on the apple refurbished page say its a limited time special price at the moment?

Is there some update coming to the imacs soon?

Cheated

I checked the apple store daily for months waiting for the prices to change and a week ago decided to buy because it didn't look like the were going to go down and look what just happened. I wonder if there is any way to get a price adjustment.

What are you talking about. I just checked apple.com and there are no price changes. ?

Limited time = it's a refurb, there's only a couple of units in stock at the moment, hurry! Get it while you can!

Special price = it's a refurb, cheaper than buying new, hurry! Get it while it's still in stock!

It's an advertising gimmick, nothing more.

I'm talking about the refurb. price. It was 1949 and now it's 1899 "for a limited time.

I saw that yesterday but would $50 really make you spend that much money?

Sale of the refurb happens once in awhile. Must be half a year since the last time.

Last time was $30 off for certain iPods
It was down to $99 for awhile then the price come back up to $129.
