I have recently bought 2.4 ghz, 13.3'' MB white. i want to upgrade 2gb ram to 4gb ram. By doing this did i lose apple warranty ?..I have bought warranty for 3 more years...please help me in this aspect.
Clearly there wasn't enough research done.. upgrading the ram WILL NOT void the warranty, and apple even gives you instructions on how to do it.. ram is a user replaceable part
It is considered a "user serviceable part". They will not cover the RAM that you put in there, but it will not void the warranty on the entire machine. Apple is not that evil about things (yet 🙄)
Sorry, I don't know where I heard that but thats what I have though forever. And sunnymac, if you are looking for a good place to buy it, go to Otherworldcomputing. I have found it to be the best online to purchase memory.
