My friend had a squished banana in his bag with his macbook. Some of the banana went in the via macbook CD slot.

I opened the laptop lid and looked inside. Guess what, the right edge of the laptop, the hard drive and the disk drive are slushed with banana, brown and rotten. I don't even know how it got there. Now we are cleaning it up. It's quite disgusting.

Just sharing my little story

A: I hope you de-static'd (sp??) yourself
B: I hope you removed the battery straight away
C: His warranty is probably void now

It's really f***ing disgusting seriously, the right metal edge of the laptop is so dirty. I could take the metal frame out but I would have to remove the logic board etc. So moral of the story

No banana in bags, ever!

Maybe a third party authorized repair shop would discreetly clean it and keep their mouths shut. Or a non-apple shop may be able to handle it.

Don't take it to a Genius Bar. You don't want those guys monkeying around with your computer!!

(get it? monkey? banana? yeah, you're right, that sucked.)
😀

and I thought I had heard them all 😱

don't bring it to Apple. Just clean it up as best as you can. It'll be ok I think. Water damage would be worse so becareful when cleaning it

lol Spit coffee on my tracpad.

Makes sense. I just fed coffee. Mine is already MBP. Can't wait to see what it will evolve into!
