You know what ticks me off a bit is this is the headline on the Macbook Pro section on Apples site. Its been that way since the last update hasn't it? I have seen this a couple months ago and find this to be false advertising! Its just wrong IMO.

Well, they took off the whole "new" labels from the last update. So it's near like we knew. Patience is a virtue.

Lets hope it still happens today, you never know :), if not, they will proly come out next week

Hmm. I just went to apples website and it says "the MacBook pro family" with no "new" in the headline. Maybe you read it wrong?

Well this is actually good news when it comes to the MacBook pro being updated, because some people were thinking that apple will not release the new lineup until the iPad is released, because they thought it would steal the thunder of the iPad. Now, as of yesterday the only thing that was on apples main page was the iPad, and nothing else. Now, as of today, they have the mini icons on the bottom displaying aperture 3, iPhone 3Gs, the new iMac, and then the MacBook pro family. I think this is good news because now apple isn't scared to display different products on their homepage.

It's been that way for a long time. What's the big deal? They're new until something newer is released.

THis is just good marketing.

Mr.noob goes in and orders the macbook thinking they updated because he doesn't know that C2D is old... then he's happy because he got the "new" gear.

I can't belive we're so freaky dudes waiting for a new MBP like if it would be a child!
That New MBP Family thing has been there forever, however the apple.com "New MBP and New iMac" Signs are just to fill up, you'll see in a few hours, max next week, something like "The New Faster MBP" or something like that, Not sure what apple would write :)

With eBay outages, benchmarks and other stuff new :apple: MBPs could come today before 12PM PST maybe tomorrow, Thursday, Friday, Monday or Tuesday, they'res no way it will take more than a week

Eh. Wish that it would just get over with. Didn't Aperture just get an update?

Says your attachment is invalid, however going to the site itself the prices look the same to me.
