Sure, mount it on the wall, get a mini couch and mini coffee table and you've got a nice media setup for a Lilliputian or Tinkerbell or anyone else under a foot tall.

Better yet would be a wall mount with an arm that could stretch out. Mount next to your bed, and stretch the arm out so the ipad is resting in front of you hands free, sort of like how hospitals used to do it with TV's (or maybe some still do)

That is a no for me, I guarantee it would fall off of my wall

The only place I can see this working very well, would be in the kitchen, above the counter top while preparing a meal. Using a cookbook, or just watching videos... Anywhere else, mounting to a wall seems silly.

These pics better be shot from your view on the toilet... That would work for me.

After seeing this, I can see more uses for this. Maybe in a dorm room on the wall in the bunks, or even like I said, in a kitchen under the cabinet... This is a cool idea actually.

What I'm thinking is that I can hollow out the center of a porn magazine and then, you know, put all my porn on the iPad.

I have a wallmounted iPad in our kitchen made by a custom furniture-maker friend of mine. It's fantastic!

here is what it does for us:
- shared calendar for wife, kids, me, family, work stuff .... this was one of the main reasons I had it made and it has made life much better since we now have zero double bookings. Having it in the kitchen means there is no excuse not to check iCal or gCal
- quick checks of the web. Movie times, weather, wikipedia.... endlessly useful
- I use it as a remote for my airport express connected mac mini, which connects to the stereo for way better sound than the piddly iPad speaker
- we can keep an eye on what the kids are doing on-line, as well as how much they are emailing or messaging
- Epicurious in the kitchen
- note taking etc
- quick check of email and reply
- you tube video
- gardening stuff with Eden garden designer
- picture frame slideshows - great at parties

of course any app you use and is iPad friendly

most of the time we are happy to type while the iPad is on the wall but occasionally we simply slip it out, load it onto the Apple keyboard doc, and my wife is then able to do longer replies for email or use Pages for document writing

While I am totally satisfied with a wall mounted shared and updated calendar, I have been pleasantly surprised at how it has changed behaviour in our house. My wife isn't always taking my laptop away for extended periods and the kids aren't hidden in my office on the iMac.

the guy I had make it is building a bunch more and is going to bring them to market. Mine is made of African sapele hardwood but the production version is Russian baltic birch - which actually looks better than mine (and a lot cheaper!)

I like the idea. I don't think I would have a use for it but it could be a very cool thing.
