    Is it possible to update Mavericks (10.9.5) to Mojave?

    I have an old iMac - ca. 2009. When I first got it I was able to update from Snow Leopard to Mavericks, going sorta step by step, to Mt Lion then to Mavs. I'd like to get it to Sierra, or Mojave if possible (gratis), but I haven't been successful. Any hints?
