I have an old iPhone 12 pro running iOS26, with somewhat less old Airpods Pro 2's. I now routinely get a message "Device was left behind" when I leave the airpods pro *case* behind - so far just at home.
I think I'm up to date on everything.
If I try to answer the Device Left Behind notice, it does not let me do the usual Find My thing and tell it "oh, it's fine at home [or wherever]" So I'm stuck getting the message very time I walk the dogs unless I remember to take the case.
It also doesn't appear on my Find My list of devices!
Any way for me to address this? Ideal result would be to be able to rename it "Airpods Pro 2 case" and then manage it normally.
