(Help!) Tahoe Spotlight closes on its own

About 2/3s of the time I use Spotlight to find an app or do some simple math, it closes before I finish typing my query. This happens both when my laptop is hooked up to an external keyboard, or I'm using its keyboard.

It also only happens when I begin typing; when I just open Spotlight, it'll sit there just fine until I begin typing.

Is anyone experiencing this (or fixed this)? I figured it was a .0 bug but I'm updated and it's still going on.

Hi. Are you still seeing this, because my spotlight crashes when i type the letter p or z? very strange. Also, iPhone apps are not appearing for me in main results list, even though I have that setting toggled on. Running latest 26.2

I am still seeing this - between and Messages freezing when choosing emoji, I'm thinking of doing a fresh install.

P or Z could be an issue for my spotlight - it always happens while typing...

I gave up. Tried to give Tahoe an honest shot but went ahead and turned off Spotlight's hot key and assigned Raycast to it.
