The last few nights I've stuck my iPhone 5 on airplane mode and it's still on 100% the following morning. Then when I start to use the phone I get tremendous usage, 19 minutes until it dropped to 99%. No idea if this is normal but thought I'd share it.

Yeah mate i've found when the phone is idle it has great battery life.

But when you start using more demanding apps it's terrible. This should be ruled out by GM though.

Wabbit - what a knob!

100% battery isn't even possible, the moment you unplug it, it starts draining. Also, 100% and 1% remaining are extremely buggy. I've had both last almost 30 minutes on multiple occasions.

This plus if I restart my device it gives me a few % extra to my battery.

My iPhone is on charge (In it's dock) the whole night so every day I start off with 100% charge.

I would have thought putting the phone in airplane mode would not be ideal. What is someone needs to get hold of you urgently? (DND is my best friend...)

I can do this in iOS6 as well. Nothing new and yes, idle time battery efficiency has always been top notch on the iPhone.

Standby time is amazing too. Forgot to plug my phone in overnight, woke up to 98%

Pretty sure we are comparing this to the usual beta battery malarky not a stable release. :p

A bit silly having it on DND if they urgently want to get in touch too! That means they have to call you 3 times to urgently tell you whats urgent! ;)
Not if they are on your favourites.

They don't have to call three times... Its call again for the second time within 3 minutes...

DND is not something i looked into as i thought "I work away from home, my missus could ring to say something has happened with her or the little one"

So i never went on from there. But reading the posts above, looks like it may be something i'll use in future by tweaking the settings.

Learn something new everyday huh!

Yes folks on your favorites list (i assume your wife is) will ring through on the first try (if you set it up that way)

Nope - that's what my favourites are for. Just call once and it will ring.

Even if they are not on the list.. - if they call twice within three mins is better than not being able to reach me at all!

Now you probably didn't think that through properly, did you? :p

Yeah it seems 100% and 1% tend to last different amounts, I feel like it's just the way the battery estimation algorithm is set up. Getting things like loading bars and battery estimation levels to work accurately is impossible to program really, it was like this for me in iOS 6 as well, as refined as that iOS was.

My iOS 7 experience has always been seemed exceptionally better than iOS 6 but after it gets to 50% it just skydives.

Hooking up bluetooth to my car kills the battery life of my phone using iOS7. As soon as I turn it off it goes back to normal levels
