I am spending a few days in hospital and wanted to tether my macbook to my iphone. Phoned up 02 and they said I would have to switch to the new tariff if I wanted to have tethering enabled. So I agreed to that as he told me I would be able to also share bt open-zone wifi.
Guess what it doesn't work. With my iphone connects to bt openzone and works fine but my laptop only connects at gprs rates as there is no 3G signal here.
Is there a setting I could change to force it to use the wifi for tethering? If I turn of cellular data the tethering stops.
Any suggestions appreciated. I doubt 02 will switch me back to my old contract either.
