Whats the better network for calls?
Whats the better network for 3G/Wifi Zones?
Whats the better network for value?

Whats the best overall network? 02 or Vodafone for the iphone

which one has better reception where you go in london? then you have answered your own question.

dont forget to add 3 mobile

if you like to have 3G off to save battery life, o2 is better. If you like to use 3G Vodafone is better as edge isn't so good!

I was on o2 with the iPhone for 18months, and then with Vodafone for 7.

As for calling, never had a dropped call on Voda, happened several times on o2.

Generally i prefer Vodafone as I can use 3G on the tube on my daily commute. I turn 3G off whilst at home and at uni to save batt. Hopefully with the iPhone 4, the battery will be better so 3G can stay on all the time.

Thanks so i'm gonna go with voda but if i'm not mistaken 02 has wifi zones throughout the country and voda doesn't.

Wifi > 3G > Edge

yes, also remember that o2 = unlimited and voda = 1GB and charge you if you go over

Does Vodafone have coverage on London Underground?

Just to elaborate, I bought the 3G on an 18 month with o2 on launch, bought the 3GS on payg o2 on launch. Got it unlocked by o2 at the end of the 18months and switched to Vodafone.

Currently on a 12 month sim only plan. 1200mins + unlimited texts + unlimited data - £20 month. But i also have a redemption deal of £100 so for a year £240-£100=£140. about £11.70 a month.

Vodafone no longer offer unlimited data as far as i know, but you may be able to call customer service and strike a deal.

02 have BTOpenzone and The Cloud Wifi Services which are everywhere in the UK which is obviously quicker than 3G.

Does voda offer this?

Ah, I thought you meant in Zone 1 - that'd be impressive!!

The technology is available for them to do it

But realistically i don't think it will happen for a long time due to the terrorist risk and because commuters simply dont want to listen to others on the phone for their whole journey.

I like O2 quite a bit. Very few dropped calls, use of BTOpenzone and The Cloud, and some pretty good Bolt On deals. Only have incidental use of Vodafone though.
