I have an '06 17" mbp. Overall, the machine has been very reliable, but the backlight is starting to fade on the current screen. The screen is starting to become bruised as well (the machine is 3.5-4 years old after all) so I figure that it is time to replace the LCD panel. Can anyone suggest a vendor? I've been cruising ebay, and have found some good sellers, but have not found any feedback on the panel itself. I'm just interested in the panel, not the entire assembly as sold on iFixit. I know it's a more difficult repair that way, but it's also cheaper.
