I'm going to school at Otis College of Art and Design next year, and with my current set up for digital work, I use a late 2008 MacBook Pro unibody (with removable battery) 2.53ghz c2d, 4gb DDR3, 9600M GT 512MB 320GB HDD and 1440x900 display.
The main problem is the 1440x900, but for when I'm doing work, I use a 20" cinema display, 1680x1050 resolution. My thought is, if I sell both, with a tiny bit of extra upgrade money, I can probably kill two birds with one stone with the new 1680x1050 Core i7 macbook pro. What is the approximate combined value of my macbook and cinema display (excellent condition), is basically what i'm asking.
I can get the new one with display upgrade for 1,789.00 w/ student discount.
