09 iMac 27" Quad on 10.8

I currently own an 09 iMac 27" Quad with 16GB of Ram, Core i5 2.66, 1TB HDD and the ATi HD 4850 Graphics. I still have this machine on 10.6 because everything is perfect as is. I wish 10.6 would have gotten a iCloud update, Since it has not i am considering going straight to 10.8. Would 10.8 provide a decrease in performance?
