09 Mac Pro: Power Management Issue (HD Sleep)

For some reason, whenever I use bootcamp to boot into Windows 7 x64, when I return to OSX, my hard disks try and sleep even though the "Put the hard disk(s) to sleep when possible" box is unchecked in Energy Saver prefs. Resetting the SMC restores normal operation (hard disks don't sleep), until I use Windows 7 again. Any ideas?
