'09 vs '10 battery life: swap possible?

From what I can tell the performance of the 13in MBA '09 (MC233LL/A) and '10 (MC503LL/A) are similar however the battery of the '10 supposedly has much longer life.

My question is can a longer life batery be installed in an '09 or does the older machine simply drain batteries faster?

Have limited spending budget but do need long life battery.

I think the older machine just drains the battery that fast. On top of the CPU being an older generation, the chipset itself also seems to drain more battery.

You cannot install a battery from one model into a different model.
