This might be a question already answered, but lately my iPod Touch's software has been acting up. It is jailbroken 1.1.1 and I've refrained from upgrading to 1.1.2 because of that. If I restore to 1.1.1 will it brick my iPod or is it a safe restore. Also, if my iPod does become bricked ever, will the Apple Store restore the software? Thanks.

If you want to wipe it clean, you can do a restore and that will be like starting over new. If you just want to upgrade, just install OkToPrep before you upgrade, and you'll be ok. After you upgrade, you can choose to re-jailbreak it or not.

You can't brick your iPod Touch, but the software can get messed up. If at any point you start having serious trouble, you can always restore and you'll be good to go. And no, apple won't restore your software because they'll know that you jailbroke it, and that voids your warranty.
