Hi everyone. Hopefully this thread has not been posted yet.
I have a friend who wants to jailbreak her iPod touch. She has never upgraded her touch ever since she bought it. So its still 1.1.1 firmware. But now since 2.0 is out, she cant upgrade to 1.1.4. Is there anyone who knows how to upgrade to 1.1.4?

Thanks

You can search for the .ipsw file (yes, illegal pirating like that is bad) or you could just be grateful for 2.0 and buy it.

1.1.4+ (the one where they added wiggly icons) originally cost $20. 2.0 gives you all those features and more (apps) for only $10! :D

Twice the features for half the price! Just get 2.0! :D:)

Or google 1.1.4 ipsw file if you are really attached to that idea I guess... :p

I was under the impression, though, that if you upgrade to 2.0, the editable calendar, notes etc. would be included.

thank you all for your advice.

The reason why i want 1.1.4 is that i dont want to have 2.0 yet since there arent much app for 2.0 once you jailbreak them. Plus apple just released 2.0.1, which we cant jailbreak yet. so i want 1.1.4 for my friend so that she can enjoy all the apps.

Ooooh. I thought you were concerned about not getting the 1.1.4 release applications.

oh no no no. I know how to get Jan upgrade apps. I want 1.1.4 so that i can still enjoy all the apps in installer or cydia.

Thanks

1.1.5 is available now for those that didn't want to upgrade to 2.0, iTunes should link you to it, no? I'm not sure, because I got 2.0 when it first came out.

And for the person that said about paying for 1.1.4, no, it was a free update but to use the added features (January upgrade) you had to pay the fee (and that's incorrect anyway because the upgrade initially started with 1.1.3).
