So here’s my weekend musings.

I want to use my 1.1.2 iPhone with a UK Orange sim, The phone is new and still in the box and before I buy a TurboSim and start cutting it up I thought I’d just check what you think to this. If I’d bought my phone in France I would be able to put in the sim and be an official regular user, from what I’ve read anyone think this is incorrect?

On the basis that the above is correct, what would happen if I register it with iTunes as if I was a French consumer? Surely this would get around the problem. Will the phone know that this is a UK sim rather than a French one abroad? Will the phone know that it’s not bought in France?

Separate but related to this what will happen if I put in a none sanctioned sim? Will it brick? Will I be able to un-brick it?

Cheers for you thoughts.
