The music is so pleasant, like on the home shopping network or something. Very nice.

PS: Are you using iTunes 7.6 for the 1.1.2 jailbreak
PPS: Nevermind, you addressed it in your video. Great job btw.

Thank you for the help man, I was wondering why everything crashes once you try to install apps?

Okay, it says to start by restoring to 1.1.1. Can this be done with a new purchased iPhone or iPod Touch that shipped with 1.1.3?

Thank you for calling my video "perfect"

Nice that I could help you.

When i did the manual restore with 1.1.1 it says "The ipod could not be restored an error occured"

what do i do it does this every time?

Just keep the power and home button pressed, when ipod restarts, stop pressing the power button, but hold on to home button. Then the recovery screen should appear. You can restore to any firmware, but you lose everthing on your ipod.

I think he is stuck at recovery mode now... if you have previously upgraded to 1.1.3... and still using iTunes 7.5, some weird things could happen, like your error message, in some of my cases, iTunes 7.5 won't even recognize the ipod.

So, I'd suggest upgrading to iTunes 7.6... and don't worry, jailbreak can still be done with iTunes 7.6. That's how I did mine.

Thanks from me as well. The iNdependence part was what would have saved me four hours of trying to downgrade iTunes to 7.5 unsuccessfully just to rejailbreak 1.1.2 (I screwed up the first go, so I tried again). This time it took all of 15 minutes to get 1.1.2 jailbroken. Thanks!

good vid indeed, and for some reason my IPod is not as fast as yours weird?

His isn't that fast either.;) The video is sped up during parts where installation takes place. (His wheel spins faster, if you look closely.)

i am STILL terrified to update my firmware, because i have a perfect 1.1.1 and really really wouldn't want to trash my phone just for the sake of some cool new bits!

mine says that an unknown error occured as i tried to down grade it to 1.1.1. it says unknown error (1). what do i do or should i just keep trying

edit: now i get an "unknown error (2001)"
