1.1.3 OpenSSH Password Change?

Is there anyway to change the password on 1.1.3 for OpenSSH? I know the BSD Subsystem's passwd command is bugged. Is there another method?

Password change:

- configure a new repository source: http://apptapp.saurik.com
- from system install "Cydia Packager"
- change password using passwd command

that is to change the password though. The default password has not changed
