will the pending 1.1.3 release most likely provide the bits needed to make a sim-unlock for 1.1.2?

i have just ordered an iphone (i live in australia), and most likely it will come with 1.1.2, so i would really like to actually use it as a phone, not just a glorified ipod touch.

cheers

Apparently so. See for example:

27th November, 2007 - UK Phones will be unlockable!
An exploit has been found in the 4.6 bootloader which means that new iPhones will be fully sim unlockable, but the bad is that this can only be done when iPhone software 1.1.3 is released (for technical reasons). So we are anticipating full sim unlock for 1.1.2 out of the box iPhones in around 4 weeks time.
