Well now that the 1.1.4 firmware is out does anyone have info on it? Will i be able to keep my jailbreak? what does it fix? What does it make worse? and also, if i did not purchase the $20 software package with 1.1.3 does this update add them automatically or do i still need to pay $20?

Because the price paid for the iPod Touch is not calculated to extend over a year or more, like with the iPhone or :apple:TV, you will always have to pay for software that adds features to your products. This is because of the new Accounting Firm that Apple got a few years ago that you have to go through this, as they are following traditionaly accounting, to the letter.

I now have 1.1.4 successfully installed and can confirm:

- No 'new' applications
- No new 'features' that I can see
- I bought the $20 upgrade, and I still have the $20 upgrade in fully working order

I'm in the camp of, this update added the necessary files to function with the application syncing system Apple may introduce onto iTunes soon.
