I was one of the many lucky ones to get an iPad 2 on launch day. I wanted a white 32gb WiFi model, but instead settled for the white 16gb WiFi at WalMart. I settled because my Wife's birthday was on launch day and I wanted her to have something to open that night. I was pretty creative when presenting her present. I bought an icecream cake a little bigger than the iPad 2's packaging and I hid it under the cake. After she made a wish and blew out the candle, I told her to take the cake out and cut it. Her reaction was worth more than the $499 price tag!

After a week of using just one iPad, we decided we really needed the 32gb model for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 3 & 6). We searched Craigslist to source an iPad 1 ranging from $300-350 for the kids. We ended up finding a guy on Craigslist wanting to buy an iPad 2 for $650. I called him and we made the deal. Now this leads us to the title of this thread. So with $650 burning a hole in my wallet, I told the Wife about buying 2 refurb'd 16gb iPad 1's with the money and she agreed.

Sorry for the long post. My point to all of this is, with the upgrades of the iPad 2 from the iPad 1, I feel we won't miss those upgrades going to the iPad 1.
