Hi There,

I've got a iMac Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83 GHz and 1/3 of the screen is a white stripe and a grey stripe. Otherwise functioning. What's going on?? I restarted and restarted did a disk repair. Stripes are still there.

What should I do?

Thanks in advance,

Susan

Panel/screen or logic board issue for the looks of it...Sorry to hear.

Looks to be fairly common...

Susan,

Do a screen print. If the screen print is OK - no white stripe - chances are that the display panel is bad. This just happened to our iMac two weeks ago. Apple still has an extended repair program that will replace the panel at no cost. Have your serial number and screen print results handy and then call Apple. They can tell you if your particular iMac is covered by the extended repair program. Good luck.
