I found this unique company on Yahoo News for an article about a US$5,000 Gold PS3. looking at their website they also have Gold plated iPhones, MacBooks, iMacs and a lot more. thought it was kind of different.

looks like a 3g to me lol

scratches would be even worse

haha i just realized the box says 3G, my bad! and yeah i couldn't imagine scratching something like that.

That is ugly. This is just more proof that some people have more money than common sense.

i agree, i couldn't justify buying anything off that website. including the US$5k PS3...

I've actually seen a gold iPhone in public. They really are the most tacky things I have ever seen. If you really have so much money that you have to buy one of these things to use it up, you should probably look into giving to charity.

that's a good way of looking at it. if i had one of those things i'd constantly be fearful of having it stolen...

Just throwing it out there, but $1400 isn't a lot of money for an iPhone. To buy one outright would cost around $800-900 anyway, and so if you want a gold one, or anything else that's so customised, you normally need to pay for it.

$1400 may not be a lot for a gold iPhone but it's a lot for a phone in general if you ask me
