Went to the apple store and was told it was a faulty display to begin with. They replaced it no charge.

This is the first time I've had to go to the apple store for a problem. This is also my first mac. I had no idea what I was missing. With my dell there was no where to go and only India to talk to. This has solidified what I already decided. I'm not going back to PCs. The apple tax is worth it for the customer service alone.

no such thing as an apple tax. "apple tax" is a made up term from media or windows users who don't know any better :)

There is such a thing as you get what you pay for.

You paid for better software, better design (inside and out), better service and you got it.

Glad you had a good experience. Buy AppleCare for your Air as well before your first year is up. It's well worth it just in case.

Welcome to the family :)

As stated above, it's a good idea to get AppleCare before your year is up. Especially for a laptop that's going with you everywhere, a good warranty like that is a solid plan.

Enjoying my new screen

@AgentPhish, Relax about the apple tax comment. I'm on your side.

I'll definitely get apple care. Seems very valuable.
