I need 8gb of RAM and am looking for some advice I read the Wiki and people seem split between Crucial and Corsair among others...thoughts?

thanks...

on amazon yet?

Have always used Crucial for MBPs and never let me down.

Thanks i was just curious about the 1.5 volts on the corsair Vengance as the crucial isn't in stock on amazon unless i missed it...

thanks

As long as it's compatible with the board, you are fine. In the case of Crucial they guarantee it. They also sell directly through their own site. It's around $150 for 16GB. Prices fluctuate though.

I checked with Crucial before I bought my ram as I was interested in the same question.

It's fine - it's just rated to be a bit more efficient than the slot is specified for. I have 16gb running flawlessly in my machine.
