iPod touch 1.6GB of apps, but counted only 700MB (MAX)

Hey, I counted all my applications in iTunes, adding up to a max size of 700MB, but iTunes still says I have 1.62GB of apps (green bar) on my 2nd gen iPod Touch? is in-app data included in this or is this a bug?
