How does leopard run on this? Will it get the beachball by just running the OS?

Max out the RAM to 1.25GB and it should be fine.
Next time, try and consolidate your posts.

Well I run Leopard on my 1ghz eMac with 512mb RAM and it runs well! Although I will be upgrading the RAM to 1gb in a couple of weeks just to give it an extra boost, great purchase at a great price though!
