For $999 you can get a Crucial PC2100 SODIMM. Part number is: CT12864X265.

Just a matter of time for prices to drop. Once more manufactures have them in quantity you should see them for probably little more than double the 512MB price. I think more because the demand will be high and the quantity will be less for a while.

i think by the time we see these floating all over for a good price our little 12" G4 PowerBooks will be even more obsolete than they already are
