So I went to bed around 1am, and when I got around to checking my found @ 12pm, I had lost about 10%. Is that good or bad lol? I have a bunch of stuff disabled btw.

That's about what I get. Just under 1% an hour overnight. Seems a bit worse than my iPhone 4, but still not terrible.

That's about what I'd expect. 1% an hour on standby. I've seen better depending on the circumstance, but you are not experiencing any battery issues based on that.

Charged my 4S to full right before bed, woke up this morning and it was at 97%. I'd say that isn't too bad. What IS bad is the number of people who aren't getting that battery performance. Some setting (location, time zone, etc) needs to be reigned in.

Do you have wifi on? how is your service?

The other night I did a check and had lost 2% on 8 hours sleep. Not bad. I went to sleep at 100% and woke at 98%. I played with it unplugged for around 10-20 min also (nothing crazy, just twitter and texts etc.) just before going to bed as well. It could be your service being low. I have Sprint.:apple:

Am I missing something? Does everyone sleep in rooms without electical outlets? I'm not trying to be a smart*ss, I'm just totally stumped as to why, as part of a normal routine, people wouldn't plug their phone in to charge while they are sleeping. I've always charged my phone while I sleep. Is there something wrong with that?

There's no outlet near where I sleep (though there is elsewhere in the room) and I use my phone as an alarm so I keep it near me (not plugged in). I don't have battery issues though so it works out for me.

Nope, it goes in charger on nightstand when I goto bed at night, every night.

It's on wifi, connected to power, locked and in standby and gets it's daily backup in as well.

I know lots of people that don't follow this logic though. Apparently we are minority, or maybe the non-vocal sane majority *shrug*

Compared to my phone, that's horrible. I unplug at night at 10. Get up at 8 and I'm still at 100% battery. The only odd thing is my phone shows 9 minutes usage overnight when I never even turned on the phone after unplugging it.

Phone is fine.

Cut back to 6 hours sleep and you will only lose about 5 percent. Problem solved. :D

For 11 hours, 10% seems OK.

For 8 hours sleep I'd expect to loss around 6 to 8% battery.

Just realised I forgot to re-disable the location thing. Most likely will get better battery life now lol. And I wasnt actually sleeping for 11 hours lol But thats when i stopped using the phone.

At 1%/hour that's only 100 hours standby. Apple advertises 200 hours. Way off the mark.
