Called Apple to ask about my order and possibly shipping early since I just got bumped from 23rd to 25th. besides confirming that was only because the 23rd is a Saturday, the rep probably said something he shouldn't have...
"We did at least a million online orders in the first 36 hours. To explain how orders are shipping and why would take a really good mathematician."
So no "official" word on sales but this may just be a general figure they're throwing around but that is a LOT of iPads.
