I live 6 months a year in the US and 6 months a year in Argentina. (I know the new iPhone isn't available yet in Argentina.) Is it possible to buy an iPhone in the US, sign up for a service plan for it in the US, and then sign up for another service plan for the same phone in Argentina (when it becomes available)?
My goal is to buy a single phone and be able to use it with a local phone number in two different countries (presumably by swapping the US and Argentine SIMs). I know I'd be paying for 2 service plans, but I am prepared to do that for the convenience of using an iPhone to make and receive local calls in each country, and to access email, the internet, and GPS in each country without paying international roaming fees. My question is, would Apple let me pay to use one phone locally in two different countries?
