I have a MacPro with the following HDD Setup:

Bay 1 - System (320GB)
Bay 2 - Time Mahine (500GB)
Bay 3&4 - Mirrored RAID for (1TB Total)

I store all my RAW photos on the mirrored RAID as a faux backup/duplicate. I know it's not a real backup as the second I delete something it's gone, but I am currently comfortable enough with the duplicate information on 2 drives should a crash happen.

Now, I plan to buy an external 1TB that I'll use as a real backup for my photos, and then I'll reformat my RAID to be striped for speed.

Finally, my question. Is there a way to either natively or via scripts/hacks enable TWO instances of Time Machine to run? One to backup my system and another to run Time Machine on my RAID drive to backup to my external? Does that make sense?

I guess I could install a separate install of Leopard on my 500GB and set that Time Machine to backup my pictures? Just boot into that once a week or so to run the backup?
